Song title: Trucker Awareness Initiative

Safer Roads Start with Awareness

Our goal is to educate both motorists and professional truck drivers on how to share the road safely, responsibly, and with mutual respect.

Every day, passenger vehicles and large commercial trucks travel the same streets, yet they operate in fundamentally different ways. Recognizing these differences can save lives.

Truck Drivers: Access Crucial Safety Resources

The Importance of the Trucker Awareness Initiative

Large trucks have longer stopping distances, significant blind spots, and limited maneuverability. Many accidents arise not from recklessness but from misunderstandings.

The Trucker Awareness Initiative seeks to bridge this gap through education, increased awareness, and community engagement—enhancing safety for everyone on the road.

Help Us Drive Change

Submit Your Roadside Media. The best way to illustrate the reality of our highways is through your eyes.

We are looking for

The Good: Dashcam footage or photos showing professional drivers using exceptional safety maneuvers, motorists giving trucks proper merging space, or roadside acts of kindness.

The Bad: Evidence of hazardous infrastructure, "blind spot" close calls, aggressive driving, or poorly marked construction zones that put lives at risk.

How to Submit

Prepare Your File: Ensure the video or photo clearly shows the incident. Please note the date, time, and specific location (mile marker or intersection).

Protect Privacy: Before submitting, please ensure your footage does not violate local privacy laws or record sensitive personal information unnecessarily.

Send it In: Please contact the Trucker Awareness Initiative directly to receive a secure submission link for high-resolution files.

Important Safety & Legal Note: Never attempt to film or take photos while driving. Use a mounted dashcam or have a passenger capture the media. By submitting, you grant the Initiative permission to use your media for educational and advocacy purposes to help keep everyone safe on the road.

These guides explain how to submit visual evidence of highway incidents for advocacy purposes, including requesting traffic camera footage and obtaining permission to use user-generated content.
